The day you came along......(Sendong's Aftershock)

A week and a day more to go before the most awaited day by the young ones. Children were so excited for they will be recieving presents again. Presents from Sta., from theire mom and dad, ates and kuyas and even from neighborhood. Everyday  they even wants the time to travel faster so that the night will come and they could carolling their silingans. Together with friends and younger siblings they were there right in front your doors singging christmas carolls (with mali-maling lyrics) just to gain barya-barya for their Christmas galore.  Most of the time tinatanggihan pa natin at sinasabihang wala tayong pera. But we can't hear reklamos from theme. They were just move on to the other houses.

This is some sort of the familiar scenarios of christmas season. The season of giving, sharing and loving. The most exciting one (since it just happens once a year). Even me myself  fells so excited when the "ber" month starts despite my age. This season is for the younger ones mostly. Sila ang higit na masaya kapang araw na ng pasko. Excited not just because of the presents they recieved but also for the coming of a family members from different places. And for the ham and keso de bola in the table.

But some devastating incident happened. Not a family member who you have expected the most arrived. Not someone you want to see this Christmas, an unwanted guest. Instead of a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, this unwanted guest brings a very heart-destroying event. I thought it was just a heavy rain, a normal amount of rainfall during typhoon. But I was wrong. It was not just a mere rain. It was a big rain. Followed by a huge flood from the the mountains. It kills a lot of people, majority are minors. It takes away with it properties and lives. A flood that brings out the reality that is happening in the mountains of Iligan City. Thousands of logs flow together with the meters-high flood waters. Many said that if not due to the logs numbers of casualties wont reach that high.

             But whose to blame.

Me myself won't be considered innocent for I myself also had done something unfriendly to the nature. But this incident was quit intolerable. The person/s responsible in this most be jailed. Probably he is one of those rich corrupt officials na nagpakasasa sa kayamanan niya habang ang mga apektado ay gutom na gutom na. The poor ones are the highly affected. Sana makunsinsya naman siya ng kunti. God's well for sending Sendong here is maybe just to washed out few but the people worsten it that why it happens that way. The sad thing is that innocents haven't escaped. Sendong includes people that are so vulnerable and have no idea about anything happening around, the young innocent ones. There is nothing we can do now, everything had happen beyond our control, beyond our imagination and beyond our expectation. All we have to do now is to strengthen our faith in God, take responsibility on our actions and be prepared for the next coming of Jesus. Remember,

                            "every action has a reaction"
                                           Isaac Newton

Eksina sa Jeep

After an exhausted day, I am now riding a jeep to our home. The tiredness that I had had gone because of these three person also riding with me. They planned to make lakwatsa around the city but the money the have is only P50.00. The other boy said jokingly, "ato nalang ning ipa-zerox bai," sabay tawa nang malakas. The other one said, "mao jud bai para managhan, naa sa atbang o galinya ang pa-zeroxanan". "Bahin daun tah,,,syempre ako ning tinood," said the third boy. I cant help myself from smilling secretly. I really want to laugh out loud that time but thanks God I could still control it.

What's bothering me and tickling me that time was the reality that they were all college boys but still they use wrong terms. Dont they know that the right term is "PHOTOCOPY". Unbelievable.
